Duane's Background
Duane Watson was born in Calgary Alberta, in 1958. Since a young age while growing up with 6 siblings on a ranch in Northern BC, Duane has always showed a passion and love for music.
After picking up his first guitar and learning a few cords from his older brothers, Clint and Clay, and playing along with the radio, Duane started his love of preforming in a hometown coffee house at the young age of 12.
Duane started preforming on the road in 1977 all over Saskatchewan, Alberta, B.C. and the Yukon, with a 3 piece band singing in local bars, pubs and dance halls. Duane also started an addiction to hard drugs and alcohol.
After starting a family in 1984, Duane moved back to Northern BC where he built his family cabin. However trouble wasn't far behind because in 1987 Duane ended up serving time in jail.
After being released in 1989, Duane moved his family south to Black Diamond/Longview area and was back on the road singing in establishments under the name, Duane Watson the Lone Wolf.
He would continue this life until the year 2000 when he quit after becoming too burnt out from the road. He then started working in Fort MacMurray Ab and quickly became MRC Teamster Foreman. However 4 years later Duane would suffer from a massive heart attack that would force him to never return there.
In 2009, with his new love Karen, they packed up all their things and moved to BC where they have lived quiet lives in a few locations before settling down outside of Mission.
After Karen asking and insisting him to pick his guitar back up, Duane started singing and writing music again in 2018 before his 60th birthday, then finding his friends and band members shortly after.
They are still currently living in the lower main land area, playing locally and recording 3 albums to be released later this year.
